(Paris/China) Atelier Murmur : the ceramic’s thinnest feelings

Since the first sight at Bagnolet (France) in 2015, we are deeply fascinated by Atelier Murmur’s work. JinjinZhuo and Xinhe, the three Chinese artists founders of the Atelier, create one of the most poetic everyday ceramics we have ever seen, only handmade with patience and passion.

With a deep bound to the nature and the elements, you can find a lot of leaf or tree bark stamped creations, with Henry David Thoreau quotations or Chinese poems. Everything is a mix of earth elements (the clay or dyes) and zen aesthetic.

JinjinZhuo and Xinhe explain you the process and the concept behind each collection, from textiles to daily life, every detail makes you think about what you are looking at, and why. Of course, these creations are crafted for a daily use, but most of the time, they are more talking about exhibitions than only shops. Even a simple plate is a small piece of art.

Atelier Murmur’s ceramics are one of the purest gift you can make, to someone or to yourself.
